What is the Importance of Mantra in Pujas?

While doing puja, there are mantras or unique sounds or words that are chanted continuously. The Puja mantras represent the sacred words of worship to the Oracle that punctuate each Satyanarayan puja ritual. A proper procedure for performing the Satyanarayan Pooja includes sixteen rituals. Om is that mantra known globally.

Every puja has a specific set of words or mantras in the Sanskrit language. One good quality of a pandit or priest is the knowledge and ability to chant those words or mantras with the purest pronunciation (proper uccharan).

Significance of Satyanarayana Puja

Lord Satyanarayan is believed to be the divine representation of truth. The Satyanarayan puja is an embodiment of truth in identity and practice. Hence, Satyanarayan puja is not about a ritual to remove problems but primarily about practising the truth, as it is a purifier that leads to happiness.

Performing this puja is a promise to god to live life honestly and truthfully because that indeed results in liberation.
