The first mantra chanted by the Pandit as the Griha Pravesh Puja commences as you embark on the divine experience of a Vedic Housewarming Ceremony. Griha Pravesh Puja is performed to purify the environment of the home and protect your abode from the evil eye. This Puja is performed to ensure peace and harmony in the new house. Also it is believed to drive away negativeness from the building/premises.

from our team who will perform the Puja as per proper Vedic rituals. We’ll also send the required Puja items and Puja materials with basic quantity of Flowers, Leaves, Homa Samagri etc. for the auspicious Puja.
From your side, you’ll need to arrange the Prasad items like Sweets, Fruits and Panchamrit along with some household items, utensils etc. A checklist will be shared for your reference.

Is there an addiotional amount for late night Puja muhurat?
Yes, there will be an additional dakshina amount for any Pujas performed between 10 pm - 4 am. Please check with the SmartPuja team for details.
Do you charge extra for Purohit's Travel?
We don't change anything extra for Travel expenses if the Puja location is within City Limits (20 kms from city center).
Our team can update you on Travel expenses based on your location.
What Items do I need to keep ready for the Puja?
From your end you would need to keep the Prasada items (Sweet, Fruits, Panchamrit) along with some household items,utensils etc. A checklist will be shared with you upon booking.
Do I need to pay Dakshina separately to Pandit Ji / Purohit?
The Puja Price is inclusive of Purohit’s dakshina along with Puja items and materials. You don't need to pay anything extra.
Can you perform the ceremony as per my muhurat preference?
Yes, we can. Please update your muhurat preference under ‘enter Puja comments’ section. You will find it on the checkout page.
What are Value Added Services?
SmartPuja has tie-ups with qualified Vendors for Catering Services, Florists (house decoration), Photography, Return gifts (Thamboolam) etc.
Once you book the Puja ceremony, your enquiry for required value added service is sent to relevant Vendors for further assistance.
Can you help arrange for a Florist for house decoration?
SmartPuja can connect you with specialist Florists based on your requirements.
Please select this option under ‘Value Added Services’ at the time of booking.
Will you do main door decoration?
Pandit Ji will prepare a Mango Leaves Toran that you may place on the Main door of your house.
Will you send flowers for the Puja?
We send basic quantity of tied and loose flowers along with Leaves like Mango Leaves, Betel Leaves, Banana Leaves, Tulsi Leaves, Durba Grass etc. They are for the Puja area only.
You may bring additional flowers for decoration of the house, main door etc.
Once I select Puja date, how do I know the Puja muhurats?
Once you book the Puja, our team will first get the auspicious muhurats checked (from Panchang) based on the date booked. These muhurats are then shared with you on your Dashboard View, where you would select your preferred muhurat.
Is it possible to select Puja muhurat time while booking?
You may update your muhurat preference while booking the Puja, under ‘enter Puja comments’ section. You will find it on the checkout page.
Can we shift furniture before Graha Pravesh Puja?
Yes, you may shift your belongings and furniture before the Puja.. Please ensure that you are not staying there overnight before the Puja is performed.
Can we do Griha Pravesh Puja after shifting?
Ideally, Griha Pravesh Puja should be done before shifting into the house. There can be exceptions depending on situations. Please connect with SmartPuja Team for related queries.
Who can perform Griha Pravesh Puja?
Anyone can perform this sacred Puja. This includes Couples, Singles etc. You need to take the sankalp and perform the Puja with the right mano-bhava (sentiment).
