Pradosham Dates 2026: Complete Vrat Calendar & Puja Timing

Pradosham Dates 2026: Complete Vrat Calendar & Puja Timings
In Hinduism, Pradosham is one of the most sacred vows (Vrats) dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is observed on the 13th day (Trayodashi) of both the lunar fortnights (Shukla and Krishna Paksha).
The word Pradosh refers to the twilight period (sunset). It is believed that during this time (Pradosh Kaal), Lord Shiva performs the Ananda Tandava (Cosmic Dance) on the back of his bull, Nandi. Worshiping him during this window destroys bad karma and fulfills wishes.
Special Note for 2026: The year 2026 is astrologically significant due to the occurrence of Adhik Maas (Extra Month), resulting in extra Pradosham dates.
The most auspicious time for Pradosham Puja is 1.5 hours before and after sunset (Pradosh Kaal).
