Maa Kushmanda: Navratri Day 4 Puja Vidhi, Story &…

Maa Kushmanda: The Creator of the Universe (Navratri Day 4)
On the fourth day of Navratri, devotees worship the radiant and powerful Maa Kushmanda. She is the fourth manifestation of the Navadurga (Nine Forms of Durga).
Her name is a combination of three words: ‘Ku’ (Little), ‘Ushma’ (Warmth/Energy), and ‘Anda’ (Cosmic Egg). Thus, she is the Goddess who created the entire universe as a “Cosmic Egg” with just her divine smile. She is believed to reside inside the Sun, providing it with energy and light.

The Legend of the Cosmic Egg
According to Hindu scriptures, when the universe was non-existent and there was only darkness everywhere, Maa Kushmanda smiled. Her smile produced a divine light that spread in all directions, creating the “Cosmic Egg” or Brahmanda.
She then created the sun, planets, stars, and galaxies. Because she has the power to live inside the Sun, her radiance is as brilliant as the sun itself. She is the source of all energy in the universe.
