In the Satyuga, a terrifying demon named <strong>Mura<\/strong> defeated the Devas and drove Indra out of Heaven. The Devas approached Lord Vishnu for protection. A fierce battle ensued between Vishnu and Mura, lasting for 10,000 years.<\/p>\n<p>Exhausted, Lord Vishnu retired to a cave named <em>Hemavati<\/em> in Badrikashram to rest. While he was in <em>Yoga Nidra<\/em> (divine sleep), Demon Mura tried to kill him. Suddenly, a radiant Goddess manifested from Vishnu\u2019s body. Armed with divine weapons, she fought Mura and killed him instantly with a roar.<\/p>\n<p>When Vishnu awoke, he was pleased with the Goddess. She introduced herself: <em>&#8220;I am your Shakti, born from your body to protect you.&#8221;<\/em> Lord Vishnu named her <strong>Ekadashi<\/strong> (as she was born on the 11th lunar day) and granted her a boon that anyone who fasts on this day will be freed from sins and attain Moksha.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Utpanna Ekadashi Puja Vidhi<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Since this is often the first Ekadashi for many devotees, following the correct Vidhi is essential.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>1.
